For example ive taken my friend laser tagging, invited him over, gave him reallly good birthday present worth a lot..and ive visited him in the hospital over summer break many times while nobody else did..yet when he is ok he doesnt even invite me to go golfing with him and wont give me a reason why..same with other people..why do they do this to me

i know exactly what you are going through . I am the same as you, i'm always helping people and i love to make them smile,laugh, etc.... trust me its not you, its those people that you are doing good to and being the best friend thy might ever find, they just can't get over their selfish pride and see what they are turning down. i lost a friendship due to this same type of thing, she didnt see that i was a true genuine friend and she tossed me to the curb. i just moved on and kept b eing my true self and now i have lots of friends we appreciate me. just let it go.

Because U allow them too sweetie.
People cannot take advantage of U unless U allow them too.
Stop spending $$ on people in order for them to like U.
Find U some friends that will like U for who U r and NOT for what U can do for them...
U sound like a very caring and giving person, that's NOT a bad thing. Don't let these "so called" friends change U from whom U R.
U continue to Be Urself.... Just look for other friends...

Give them one chance, you will soon find out who the genuine ones are. Knock the others on the head. Furthermore, never lend anything including cash to anyone other than your closest friend. Never buy an expensive present for a friend unless you are totally satisfied that they will be able to afford a comparable present for you. Remember, if they treat you badly just once, it makes it easier for them the second, third, twenty-fifth time - so don't let them away with it. You cannot buy friends...........

Well I have been tookin advantage of by people because im to generously kind. I steped up to the point where I just got friends that help me out now and don't take advantage of me. Tell your friends that you would like to go with him places and tell them that you can't be just spending all your money on them if they don't help you out to. I think it's a give and give back friendship that would be good. One of my friends use to buy stuff for me but I always bought stuff back for her. Even if he don't have money and you buy him stuff he can still do other things for you. Like take fishing, walking, Jogging, etc. Remember true friends won't use you.

Unfortunately, some people don't appreciate the fact that there are good, kind people on this earth who would LITERALLY give them the shirt off of their back........I know it hurts your feelings (sometimes mine get hurt this way, too) but the way I handle it is to just brush it off and go on..........Keep being the good, kind person you are and you will be rewarded in the end........Take care...........

dont worry im like u too. but wat ur doin isnt wrong, their jus sum ppl in this world who dont appreciate ppl like u. when others wish their were more of ppl like u. jus be carefull about the ppl u wanna hang with. and if that boy doesnt appreciate who u are get rid of him. he's not worth it. ok???
