Europe is a big place! Generally the high seasons are when the kids are off. Summer, Easter and also around Christmas (to go get some winter sun usually outside of Europe or possibly to the Canary Islands (Spain). Or to go have some fun in the snow). Probably not much different to wherever your from. Bye :)

In the north west of Europe the government tries to spread the holidays a bit over a period of about six to eight weeks. That includes Scandinavia, Germany, Netherands, Belgium Lux, I'm not sure about UK and Eire.
The southern part of Europe is horrible: Everyone goes in August. Especially France and Italy are bad. In Rome a lot of shops and restaurants are closed in that period and seasid is packed. It's no problem if you go to "la campagne" (outside the big tourist attractions. Otherwise I advise to go in other months then august. Southern Europe: perfect time is september: still nice warm weather, not as hot as in august. Children are at school, so most people have no vacation then any more.

its between june and August. mainly when kids are off school. a lot of them travel to the ocean. its a crazy site to see. i was there during summer once and alllll the trains would be packed with people traveling to the beach. they would stay at the beach for couple days.
if they want to get away from the heat they go to the mountains. they camp out or stay in their cabins.
europeans are so relaxed and full of life. they will do anything to have a good time and get away from the city.
