Eventually all the mexicans will be here and we will be there. Those jobs are just sweat shops for them. Those jobs will never be replaced as we, AMERICANS, are left to suffer. Those arent the only companies either. I live in Springfield Missouri and back in the early 90's Zenith moved there operations to Mexico and left alot of people without a good paying job with decent benifits. Now those jobs have been raplaced by Bass Pro Shops for $8 an hr instead of the $13 to $15 plus that people were making. This is why I am moving to another state. Cost of living my ***. I can live like white trash anywhere in the world but I cant survive at $8 an hr. Especially when gas is $3 a gallon here. Imagin making minimum wage ?!?!?!?!

I hate it. This has been going on for years and years. I had a friend who worked at an electronics company for over ten years that moved there...he got layed off. Another worked at a paint company, same deal. How does this benefit Americans and help our own economy. Nice that the Businesses make more profit and Americans lose their jobs. Real nice. It think it is just plain awful. First we pay for illegal aliens in dozens and dozens of way and more taxes are levied against us to do that and now this. We should all move down there I guess, invade their country, get free benefits and work and not pay taxes and take their companies away and have them become unemployed and start them up over here. Oh wait. Their government would not allow that!

the only way an American or the different foreigner can artwork in Mexico ( or the different foreign places united states of america) is to have a artwork visa. This consistently means the guy desirous to artwork there would desire to first discover an enterprise and that enterprise would desire to write a letter to immigration pointing out he's hiring this individual for a job he can not locate a Mexican citizen for. Then the artwork visa is tied to that particular interest. this suggests, that in case you opt to artwork in Mexico, or the different foreign places united states of america, you need to have an quite uncommon and helpful means. Employers at the instant are not likely to hire you as a shop clerk or waiter and circulate to all that place of work work whilst there are hundreds of unemployed Mexicans that ought to fill the situation. And, immigration could not at all approve this sort of request. The place of work work is horrendous, you will desire to have documentation out of your college, qualified transcripts, and all kinds of notarized papers...that's a protracted, problematic technique. in case you artwork for an American enterprise this is putting you in Mexico, the enterprise looks after all those products. Getting a artwork visa in Europe is basically as problematic. For foreign places electorate to get a artwork visa contained in the U.S. is the two perplexing.

I think it's a bunch of bull $hit!, I think it truly shows how sorry of a government we have here in the United States to where we would rather put our own (American) people out on the streets with there families and hire illegal immigrants that will work for cheaper wages. It's going to hell in a hand basket my friend!

i'm going to have to give you a very business oriented answer b/c i plan on pursuing a career in business, and that means making money, not being nice.

the businesses are moving to Mexico b/c they can get the same labor for cheaper. it makes the business more money. that is the point of a business.

yes, it is sad that people in America are losing their jobs, but that is the risk you take when you don't work for yourself; you can lose you job.

so, while sad for Americans, Mexicans now have jobs. and the pay is probably in the correct ratio for the Mexican economy.

I think that more Americans will go to the store and buy the products, and not even consider the the fact that companies products they buy is hurting them in the long run. Even when GM laid off 35,000 workers people still bought more imports than ever.
Do something or shut up.

This is happening in the plastics manufacturing field too. My husbands last position required him to spend a year in Mexico after his plant relocated, just to get them up and running, and then he was layed off. To date, he has not found a position that equaled what he left.

Who do the textile companies think will buy their products? If we don't have jobs we don't have money - without money we can't buy their products. Actually this applies to all companies moving to Mexico and overseas.

I'm okay with it. If you owned a business, would you want someone to tell you that you could not relocate it to another country where it could be more profitable? I assume you're an American...there's ample opportunity to find ways to make money in this country if you're willing to work hard.

I think it provides a vast opportunity for Americans to upgrade in terms of the services they can provide. Leave the basic secondary industries to the developing world - the necessity for a tertiary industry is probably one thing that would make America gain in terms of economic development.
