Beefing up a resume only works in areas of management or executive positions. You are what you are. However, this doesn't mean that your resume can be skinny.
Use action words to describe what you do:
Sorted boxes as they are sent into the warehouse.
Compiled deliverys for trucks as instructed by policy.
Verified package weights using Schuman A-1 Weight Control scale.
You point out in this fashion what you do, AND what equipment you're familiar with. Additional infor:
Awarded Employee work award march 2005
Elected Shop Steward 2006
Careful about union activities as this may lose you interviews in areas where unions are not active.n Don't list outside activities if they have nothing to do with work. (The interviewer wants to beleive that you eat/sleep and breath nothing but work.)

Explain how you help the police by searching for drugs in FedEx packages.
Tell people about that one time when you found a package with 6 pounds of heroin and how you gave it to the police right away. Then how you got your dog, Chief, and using the scent of the package, found the drug dealer dude whose name was Wick, he was hiding underground in South Dakota and threatened to launch a missile at you and your dog, but you challenged him to a game of Yahtzee, and - of course - being the Yahtzee expert that you are, you beat him into submission and he's been in a Fijian jail ever since.

Everyone's resume has to start somewhere. Start yours with your job objective. Explain what you would like to be doing. (In as little detail as possible, as to not limit yourself.) Then include a portion on your education. Finally, list all your job experience, and give a brief history of the company you work for. Like;
June 1998 to present: Employed at Fed-ex, the worlds largest shipping blah blah , serving more than blah blah countries. My responsibilities include daily management of packages within the shipping organization. Documentation, including destination and weight, as well as delivery prep... etc. etc. et.c
Good luck!

You could say that you were entrusted with personal property and were responsible for sorting, scanning, weighing, and loading said property.

not as funny, but...how about some volunteer work. Be a big brother or something, you can put it on your resume right away. It makes you look good and you can say that you have experience working with people.

Lie. Lie your *** off. They don't actually check up on any of it. Just make sure you can back up your lies with some legitimate sounding B.S. and they'll eat it up. Oh, and use long distance phone numbers for your references, they'll never spend the money to call.
