I would love to relocate to East Texas. Has anyone had good experiences with relocating? Have you moved with a job, or risked everything and moved before you had one? Are there agencies that will help you relocate or no because you're not local to the area? I've been trying to relocate for forever with no luck.

I relocated but thankfully I searched online for a job and was hired before moving day. I needed work and my (new) husband was hired at a local hospital. What I did to find my job was 1st decide that I wanted to work within 3 miles of our home. I then went on Yahoo! Local and looked at the local map that shows you all kinds of businesses in your local neighborhood. I chose businesses that would need work similar to my background and/or aspirations. I went to their websites (if they didn't have websites, they were too behind the loop for me) and looked at Human Resources info, usually located in the "About Us" section of any website. I also looked on professional organizations sites belonging to the industry I was interested in. Since those serve a wider audience, employers usually advertise on them. If this doesn't work for you, consider registering with Randstad or other really good temp agency. Best wishes! I may be moving to San Antonio or Austin and doing this all over again in about 2 or 3 years!! (Looooove Texas. Dont mess with it!)

Yes. But I recommend you find employment in that area before you relocate.
East Texas may not have the employment opportunities unless you look closer to Houston. Many realty companies offer relocation information. But don't expect an employer to pay relocation expenses.
Visit the Texas Workforce Commission website. Also federal jobs at usajobs.gov
Good luck...
