I have got no self-confidence and no resolve. I have too much modesty and I make myself look worse than I actually am.
I need to get over this.
Truth is, I think I have worked hard enough to land the opportunities I am being given.
How do I act confident enough to show people I can do what I do well, but still hold onto my modest personality?
Why am I freasking out over a couple of stupid job interviews?

you said you worked hard to land the opportunities you have been given.

you need to believe that yourself. an interview is not only about the employer meeting you, it's also about you meeting them and see if you like the company. they have to impress you in some way or other for you to want to take the job. an interview is about selling yourself to a company you would like to work for.

use strategy to change your definition of an interview and your nervousness will slowly fade. it's really how you look at things. if it makes you uncomfortable try to change your outlook on it.

I freak out over job interviews too. You need to figure out why you have no self confidence and than work on it.

Do you want to stay in the same job forever? Are you so happy with your income that the current job is it for you?

Start thinking about long term and get in your mind that you don't want to be passed by.

Find a friend and practice with them. List out all of your positive aspects. List a few negative aspects but, put a positive spin on them.

Now get out there and get that job!!!! You can do it!!!

get some education and etiquette training...both will make you feel more confident. Then go to the Wall Street Journal's website and learn how to present yourself on an interview.

First of all, modesty is good........To be agressive you have to remind yourself DAILY that you are strong........Look in the mirror each morning and say,"I AM a great person and I WILL succeed today at whatever I try to do." Even if you don't believe it at first, keep saying it until it etches into you subconscious.......You'll be fine and keep your head up........Good luck, dear..........
