Does anyone have a tattoo around their finger like a ring?
Don't worry I'm not going to get a "wedding band" or a boyfriend or husbands name. I want to get my sons name in Japanese characters around my right ring finger. I want it there so I can put a ring on it and cover it up if I am around family members that might find it offensive. I live in Japan so tattoos aren't look highly upon the older generation. I already have one tat so I am not going into this blindly. If you have one how was the pain and how did it turn out?? Thanks

Hi, mine turned out great, mine is initials that has a personal meaning. I don't think it hurt as bad as the one on the inside of my wrist. It all depends on your tolerance to pain. :)

Aww that's so sweet! However i'd advise against it. I had a little star tattoo on the inside of my little finger about 4 years ago and it's faded and looks a little strange, like a blob. Why not have it tattoo somewhere else. Like on your arm, wrist, shoulder, leg etc... You've made me jealous lol my husband wouldn't do anything like that for me.

i don't have a tattoo -- but if you're going to get one on your right finger, i don't find it offensive at all that you should cover it up with a ring. it's just your son's name in japanese characters.
many times i've thought of getting a tattoo maybe at the back of my neck or something like that... i wanted to look cool. but once, i was on the bus and i saw this young woman who had a tattoo of a fancy cross on her arm. it looked ok, but i imagined her with that tattoo when she's already 80 years old -- i think it'll be really weird.

i don't have one on the finger...i have two elsewhere. I'm going to be getting one around my finger also!
I've heard it does hurt a bit worse than other places since their isn't much flesh...but tats never hurt me..i just go numb after awhile..its more of a pinch than anything else.
my best friend has two fingers tats and a toe tat...she was fine. said it was nothing.

Plan on getting one someday...and yep. Wedding ring. Divorce sucks. The next time will be forever no matter what.

I don't, but a friend does. She has "love is patient" on her wedding finger. She said it hurt. I'm a wuss with pain. I can't stand the thought of needles poking me over and over and over
