Helium in and of itself does not go bad. I suspect the gas you inhaled was not a pure helium gas but contained other contaminants such as nitrogen or other gasses that caused you distress. Or possible you inhaled enough that your blood was unable to absorb any oxygen in your lungs and you in a sense began to suffocate.

If you still feel as if your not yourself, I suggest you see a professional MD, otherwise, maybe learn from this not to take things into your body that weren’t meant to be ingested.

The helium did not go bad (it can't, its an inert gas), you just damn near killed yourself trying to be funny.

Evidence has proven that the inhalation of helium can be fatal, yet thousands of people continue to inhale helium thinking it to be incredibly funny rather than life threatening. The inhalation of helium cuts off a person's supply of oxygen as well as displacing residual oxygen in the lungs and can cause dizziness, unconsciousness and ultimately death!

I dont think helium can go bad, it just goes away. I did that once, but it was cause i took in too much, i almost passed out and everything went black for a minute or so, you should be fine as long as this doesnt happen often!!

Helium doesn't "go bad", but helium isn't really healthy to breathe either. Too much can kill you, and you personally may have a very low tolerance for it. Don't do that again.

Helium dont go bad.
All you did was starve yourself of oxygen.
Once you took a couple of breaths of fresh air the helium would have left your lungs and you would be fine.
You'll be fine.
Next time be careful. You could have passed out and hit your head. Then wake up with a splitting headach.

What do you mean you about died? Like, what happened to you? Well...I dunno much about helium, but if you're feeling better now I would say don't worry, otherwise see a doctor. Here, I did a search real fast and found this website http://www.cganet.com/N2O/helium_safety.htm hope it helps.

you sure it wasn't nitrous oxide? did you get a rush of blood to the head and a kind of real-life delay effect in your ears? -i reckon you should call your doctor and tell him what happened, just to be sure. hope you are ok
