You may buy a router that can also serve as an access point. An example would be a wireless broadband router from linksys (which I am using myself) [www.linksys.com].

Basically, all you need is the router. Once you have such a router, you can set up a wireless network, and your daughter's may access the internet by wireless connection.

First I would suggest if you get her a computer of her own, put it in the same room as yours so you can monitor her activity. You wouldn't want anyone from a chat room or website trying to take advantage of your daughter and the fact that she is online unsupervised.

But aside from that, you will need to make sure that she has a computer with a wireless connector built in. You can also buy a wireless connector for a computer that doesn't have one. I would say go to your local BestBuy. They are pretty smart. Also you might want to buy the computer from Dell. Good stuff there

I agree with silverwiskers, however you will also need a wireless access card installed in your 13 yer. olds computer.

If the two computers are close enough it is sometimes easier to just buy a wired router and run a wire from the router to the two computers.
