He might not be lying. I'm not sure how annulments work in the Phillipines, but I think there is a type of annulment that involves only the church. So, the marriage might be annuled as far as the church is concerned, but still legally married according to the paperwork.
Also keep in mind that he said he is GOING to sponsor her. He only intends to do it, and hasn't started the process yet, so he just might not know that he can't be a sponsor.

You're screwed. I'm filipino. There is no divorce in the Philippines. Same for annulments. Annulments are granted by the Catholic church in the Philippines. That's not recognized in American legal systems where there is a legal annulment process granted under certain circumstances such as inability to consumate the marriage, blood relation between parties, etc.
Even if I'm wrong about annulments in the Philippines, he cannot sponsor a non-relative into the US.

He can do it if he is legally married to her. Annulment is a church thing but they usually require a divorce first. Perhaps he is still married, that seems the most likely explanation. Why would he want to sponsor an ex-wife anyway?

My coronary heart hurts for you mate. You sound such as you extremely love this female. First reaction could be to circulate on. it stands out as the only thank you to make particular she would have the ability to no longer be hurting you back. yet once you do, you are able to provide up speaking, era. on an identical time as i don't experience it extremely is honest to label her, i'm going to declare that the line you're happening at this 2nd could no longer honest properly for anybody in contact. If she heavily isn't useful relating to the guy she is engaged to, she could be telling him that, no longer you. i'm useful he might prefer to comprehend she has 2nd suggestions. i might additionally no longer extremely be speaking to a woman who's engaged for 7 hours on the telephone. that's something you do once you're seeing somebody. in case you ever question what is going on...positioned your self in his footwear. If he have been to leave city for a twelve months...what are the possibilities she'd be driving around with you? The debt relies upon. you are able to attempt to get that provided to you in the process the courts, yet i don't experience you're desirous to try this extremely. it relies upon on what it extremely is from and how it substitute into incurred. At any cost. good success.

So you don't trust a lawyer but you trust the people on Yahoo Answers? Do you not see anything wrong with that?

Absolutely, men have no problem telling lies about anything to get what they want...hm, come to think of it, women do that too. How are we ever going to know when someone can be trusted?
