Lets say you know this girl through a buddy, you see her out one night and you think she is really cute. She comes and talks to you about how upset she is about catching her ex cheating on her(your buddy) you end up driving her home that night and she invites you to stay. She puts only a t-shirt on and asks you to sleep in the bed with her. And asks you to put your arm around her, you do till she sleeps. You cant be with her because of the buddy, but you think she is so cute. Would you be crazy for her?

Dude, you are crazy not to bang her. Your buddy was cheating on her and has no interested and moved on already anyway before the relationship was even over. Even if this is not the case, you can make the case that this is what you honestly beleive. Go for it.

If you really like this girl then I would say ask your friend if he would be okay with it. After all, HE cheated on HER so he is probably over her.
I must warn you to be careful though, because if she just got out of this relationship, you could easily be a rebound. Watch out for that and try not to get too attached until you are sure she is over him.
