when in for a pap and doc said is lightly purple !! took a pregnancy test was negative?

get to the Dr's for a blood test if he saw it was purple it could be you are pregnant but the Dr should of been able to tell you if it was closed or not

A purple cervix doesn't always indicate pregnancy. It is usually a sign on increased bloodflow to the area during pregnancy, but it's not always the case.

it could mean you have an infection better known as pelvic inflammatory disease -nothing a little antibiotic wont clear up..and i would stay away from sexual activity until its cleared up
