He was beaten in the Democratic primary in Connecticut, so he's going to run as an independent. In 2004, he ran as both a senator (just in case) and a vice president. To me, this is someone who is more interested in retaining power than serving people or the people in his state. And therefore, he deserved what he got.

What's your opinion about him?

Democrat Senator Joe Lieberman is an American statesman, who has worked hard to improve America and the entire world. To do this, he has to maintain his leverage, even if he has to do that as an Independent Party candidate. Amazingly, he was defeated in the primary by an unqualified newcomer.

He lost the democratic primary in which only Democrats could vote. He did not lose by much. Many pollsters believe he will win in November because of his support from Independents and Republicans. If I were him I would still run, but I am incredibly arrogant.

I've heard Lieberman speak enough to believe that he is very angry with the direction that Washington politics in general is going, and in particular, the Democratic Party. He believes that if the Dems don't get a "wake-up" call soon, the Party will destroy itself. He has made it his mission to be the alarm clock. I wish him all the best in his efforts.
