I'd be very, very surprised if they ever did. There are so many of them... they have been releasing complilation collections for certain cast members or special things (example: The Christmas Collection, or the Adam Sandler Collection). But as far as releasing the seasons, I think they have already figured it would wind up losing them money.

SNL seems to be happy with putting out just the Best Of DVD's...
The problem with SNL is that it was very time-specific. Brought out originally as a satirical skit show, it poked fun at the politics and problems of the day... some of which wouldn't be relevant or funny today.
There is a 10-DVD collection of early stuff that you can find on Amazon... but seeing as the sales are good for these Best of DVD's... don't look anytime soon for episode compilations.

I think almost any TV Show will end up on DVD...the money in that market is too good to pass up.
I'm guessing, after releasing the first 5 seasons, they'll make it a box set. Then they'll do a box set of the '80s, '90s, etc.

NBC is still making money from the reruns of the 80s and 90s on cable, so they're wont be a DVD release anytime soon. But eventually they will. You just gotta be patient.

I bet they would make a lot of money doing this! They do have Best of Will Ferrell, and Best of Chris Farley, and a few others. Can't remember who. Those have a lot of the earlier ones.

Sure, but it's going to be expensive to source the rights to the musical guests and pay royalties to the musicians and the actors. Once something comes out on DVD, everyone wants to get paid.

I bet they will eventually, but it could be a long time when DVD prices come down. They might also wait until whatever the next format is (digital or something) where they can just sell the whole series in one set.

I think that would be cool if they would put the seasons on DVD. I'd like to see some of the older seasons.

That would be awesome, especially from the early 90's and late 80's. That was my favorite time from the show. Especially Adam Sandler and Opera Man. :)

Whenever there is still a little money left in this world, someone will be making a DVD to get it.
Answer: Yes.
But don't you rather feed orphans with that cash?
