Well if we weren’t so spread out and worn out, I would most likely go with the Americans. No offence to India, I served with there elite when I was in the Marine Corps they have some crazy as**soldiers; meaning that as a compliment. However U.S Military is still way more advanced and soldiers are trained better. But to give India a little more credit right now three world powers have there eye on India and are wanting to do business with that country. So I wouldn't be surprised if we did bother India Russia or China would get involved. Specially know since we are doing a good job with pissing people off. Again right know India would tare are *** up. But if we weren’t in a war and strong as we were three years ago; no doubt U.S would win
But really as an American I so do not want to go to war with India. We would benefit more from working together, grow trade lines and assist each other in military. There so much more America and India could accomplish if they worked together.

You have mentioned that a lot of unemployed Indians can find work in war. Maybe Indian economy is poor comparing to USA or any other developed countries, but people should not be this much cruel, while asking this kind of questions. India is a friendly Nation and since the independence India has not invaded any of it neighbouring nations or any other countries in the World. Indian policy is to protect its territories and not have the policy of creating wars.
One more thing I would like to remind you, i.e. if all those unemployed Indians plus the Indian soldiers could pee on their enemies, then those enemies should drown in it.

Boy, your question really brought out the fools this morning, like the turkey saying we wouldnt want the deserts in India! Hmmm, he flunked geography class for sure. Like the one lady says, nobody wins wars; but if the US couldn't beat Vietnam, at least not using nuclear weapons, how could they beat India? The US is still horsing around in Iraq after 3 years, can't catch Osama Bin Laden even though there is a $25,000,000 price tag on his head, and seems scared to kick *** with North Korea, a much bigger threat to world peace than Iraq ever was, so go figure! My bet would be India would prevail. Most of the workers at the airports now are East Indians...they have already infiltrated the US infrastructure.

Sounds like you were motivated to ask your question because of a need for employment. There are many people of Indian origin who are happily employed in the USA. I worked with a number of them at IBM before I retired. I remember one obtaining his US citizenship while he was working there. When I found out, I went out and bought a cake with a US flag on it. Also had the words "Welcome to America and Taxes" added to the cake. Everyone in the nearby offices came around to congratulate him and enjoy a mini celebratory cake break. Don't want you to think I'm a pro-Indian activist. I'm not an activist of any kind. I just wanted this guy to know that there were others in America (besides him) who looked on his decision to become a US citizen as something special, and I thought a little cake, and the gathering of people to congratulate him, would help make his big day a little more memorable.
This guy is still working for IBM. I saw him in his car one day recently, and he waved as he drove by. Looks just like a typical American young man enjoying life and possibly not giving a thought to how fortunate he is to live in such a great country. A country that is a melting pot including as its citizens people from just about every area in the world.
Instead of pondering on the possible employment benefits of war, why not give some thought to the possible benefits of becoming a US citizen and contributing to the country's continued success. You dont' have to make a commitment; just get a visa and come on over to check it out. You might find it irresistable. And this approach to finding employment and making a contribution to the world beats the hell out of war. Don't you agree?

well it is an interesting question. Pakistan and India are the only two nuclear powers who have said they would use a nuke first, AND said they think they can actually win a nuclear war. You fight against that type of mindset and neither side would win.
Makes you long for the old days with MAD with the Soviets

The difference is that the US has nuclear weapons that can reach India. India does not have any that can reach the US.
Besides why would there be a war between the US and India. They benefit from each other far too much for that to ever happen.

Nobody because I'd like to see India actually transport a large amount of troops out of India across the sea to the US. For the US to send the troops into India is not possible with US commitments elsewhere. So there would be no fighting.

US --#1 They wouldn't be stupid enough to invade India. #2 And India couldn't invade the US because of logistical problems. #3 The US would just pound them into submission with conventional weapons. #4 If India used nukes the response would eliminate India's over population problem.
OBTW This has got to bve one of the dumbest questions I've heard. Why would the US go to war with India?

Why do you want one more war?
Is the present one not sufficient?
LOL, any questions on USA attracts a number of answers, but the questions on India, attract few answers. This may be the reason for you asking this question?
