13 weeks along, before knowing she was pregnant she took high doses of anti biotics as she had all sorts of complications, since than she has done all sorts of tests and is currently waiting for the outcome. Does anyone have any experience with taking anti biotics during the first trimester of pregnancy?
Thanks

It may depend on the types of anti-biotics. Some are bad and some are ok. Kaflex (SP) is what I was given for a UTI during pregnancy.

Any medication during pregnancy is bad-especially the first trimester. If you want honesty-most times the baby will come out fine.

Other times not. All you can do is hope for the best and tell her to take care of herself for the rest of the pregnancy.

I took antibiotics. My doc says that they are not as harmful in the first trimester as they may have been in the 2 or 3. Just as aspirin goes. The later you take it the more chances of bleeding you and your baby have

yeah, I took them during the first couple of weeks of my first pregnancy, my daughters teeth have lines and ridges, but recently she's had them whitened and resurfaced and they're fine . . other than that, nothing . . .
