Pirates of the Caribbean 2?

Which do you think is better?

The first one is always better.
I liked its plot way more.

But I loved 2's setting and special effect.
It just didn't hold my intrest well.

They are both awesome. POTC 1 is more of a "pirate" movie than 2 was. POTC 2 is more of an adventure movie. I think I liked POTC 2 better because it still had all the hilarious moments (especially the part where Jack was trying to escape the island natives with the huge stick tied behind his back, that was so funny!) and...though it's hard to believe...was done on a much larger scale with some awesome effects (the Cracken rocked!). It was just a fun movie to watch, even more so than the first one which is pretty hard to believe.

I do think that the first one was better only because we had no expectations of it. The second did hold its own...although I thought Jack Sparrow was a bit more...umm...I guess "swishy" would be the word for it! LOL! A tad effeminate...but still very adorable! (Johnny Depp as a pirate is very sexy!). I am looking forward to the third!

As much as I LOVE LOVE LOVE PotC, the first one will always be better, because everyone expected it to suck. It came out the same time as the other movies based on rides--The Country Bears and The Haunted Mansion. But it was so great, and everyone was expecting something even better out of the second movie. The PotC2 was excellent, I loved it, but the first one can't be beat. :)
