I keep watching on TV all those talkshows with the paternity test, and how it always turns out, he's not the father. So it makes me think what would I do if someone tells me I have a child. The first thing I would do, is get the paternity test, not to wait. At least I don't understand why they don't do it sooner, but if somehow I had the child for a while and then find out it's not mine. I wouldn't keep it. But that's me.

Im not a guy but I new sum1 who was interested in me but it turned out that he use 2 live with his x who had a child from another man. This totally put me off the guy that was interested in me. I assumed that he must have really loved his x 2 have accepted that & therefore didn't want anything 2 do with him - coz i didnt want 2 b second best and some consolation prize. Don't know if this answer will help.

That would be a tough one... but IF I had already established a relationship and bond with the child, I would maintain it... it's not the kid's fault!
Now, the relationship with the mother is a totally different story...

My man helps me out with my son and sometimes refers to hiself as his father since his real one isn't there and my son looks up to him as if he 's his real father. Respect any man that takes care of their real kids and greatly respect a man that takes care of a child that's not theres just because they love them and the mother

Hey I love children and they can't help the situation they are in. Life is not their fault, They need support from both mom and dad or boy Friend. Please be kind to kids.

my boyfriend knows our son is not his because we didn't know each other when i got pregnant but hes a great guy and does help me
