Ok, so I do think that Bush is well intentioned. He has done alot of things right, even when it has gone against public opinion. I do think we needed to go to Iraq, and I don't think we can leave, I think we're stuck and if we leave now it will be open season on the USA by all terrorist nations. However, there are issues (IE illegal immigration, oil etc) that he has chosen the wrong side to be on.
Also, I will agree that he is not a great public speaker. While I dont think this makes him a bad president, it deffinatly doesn't help public opinion.
Overall, I would not say that Bush is the greatest president we've ever had. After all, you can't discount Washington or FDR. However, I will say that Bush is probably the one president that refuses to be swayed by public opinion, and I can't help but admire him for that.

In the US, the president takes all the blame when things go wrong, and gets far too much credit when things go right. Bush is no worse and no better than another other president for the past 100 years. He, like all the other presidents, is doing his job, which is doing whatever the special interest groups who have bought his soul tell him to do. That's what all presidents and politicians do.

Lincoln was a pretty good president.
Uh, so was FDR.
Despite what other people think about Nixon, I actually like him.

Bush isn't up on that list. He's actually down along with Reagan and Andrew Jackson.

I do not think he is the greatest, but I also do not think he is the worst. I think we are all too hard on the president's role and we need to be harder on the house and senate who trully make the rules and the laws. They can control the president, but we have to control them. You want to point the finger at someone then you need to look at the three fingers that are pointing back at you asking what have you done to voice your opinion.

No, Washington, Lincoln and Jefferson were all greater Presidents.

That said, I don't think Bush is the worst either. He's so-so in my opinion.
