For me, it was Myrtle Beach, SC...which is only just down the East Coast by a few states. :-) We went by car, so it was a long distance in that respect.

I left Louisiana shortly after Hurricane Katrina and went to Ontario, Canada to meet up with some internet friends..stayed 6 months. Other than that I moved across country to Washington state back in the 70s.

Boston, MA to Medan Indonesia. A 24 hour flight plus I believe an 11 hour time difference from Boston.
