i've read this book several months ago but i forgot the title and author. i really liked the story though. a nobleman and a girl (i think she's not of noble birth) marries and the nobleman's mistress spitefully lies to the girl by telling her that she will please the guy more if she controls her reactions during intimacies. i think they were in france when the guy got the girl to admit that why she was acting that way.

hope someone there can help me!

Hi!

Can you give me a time frame in which the story took place? 1800's, 1700's, 1300's, etc? If you do not know the time frame, try to remember what the main characters were wearing.

Also, Do you remember what the cover looked like? If so, can you describe it.

Thanks,
T.
