Adult jeans.

They run big. I normally wear a size 4 in jeans but, in GAP im usually a size smaller.

I am not sure but I know that Old Navy and Gap are owned by the same corporation and that Old Navy jeans tend to run a bit larger.

it really deoends on the cut, ive noticed with gap i always have to try them on. im normally about a 9, but i have a pair of boot cut jeans from there that are a size 2 - yes a 2, that fit prefect, but i have another pair in a different cut that are an 8 that fit fine. Different styles run differently

They run big, you will usually wear a size smaller in Gap jeans than in American Eagle.

well for adult jeans. it all depends. like say you are inbetween sizes. then yeah they will run big. but if you are normal. then they will fit. all you need is the right size fitting. you will only have problems if you are inbetween sizes like me. GOOD LUCK!
