The instrument you are looking for is the güiro.
The Rock world is desperately needing a new güiro player, and that could be you. Of course, the attitude is all with the güiro so you should check if you have enough to try to play it without making a fool of yourself.
Remember: the güiro (it´s pronounced like "goo-ee-row").

well, thats not going to happen. But if you really want to become a rock star I would learn to be a drummer. Drummers are sooo hard to find...and good drummers are even harder to find.
