He was fired for sexual harassment.

He was a good speaker and a likable guy, but like most of the BT crew, he knew little about the game of baseball.

Take Peter Gammons out of that room, and the collective IQ of the Baseball Tonight gang doesn't even hit three figures.

Ironbrew - First off, it's a Gold Glove award, not Golden Glove. Secondly, being a good fielder (and terrible hitter) doesn't qualify him as a baseball genius, any more than it does John Kruk or Orel Hershiser. If anything, I think some of these guys are too close to the game to look at anything objectively, hence the moronic statements they make. Check out some of their gems at:

Yeah, he bought the Golden Glove Award at a Wally-World. Sheesh....

He was fired for sexual harrassment which now days can mean just about anything. All it takes is for someone to complain about a risque joke and it's harrassment. I hope that it was something fairly inoccuous. IMHO..Harold would start out giving a good explanation but would try to get too deep with his explanation and let his mouth get in the way. Sometimes his analysis was more opinion than fact and that detracted from his ability to report what was going on. But, now he's gone and I hope he can move on to something productive.
