So, hes out of the country and I have put in my 30 day notice to vacate in! When he comes back he won't have any place to live. I have been asking him every other month for the last year to leave and he won't. I am just so much happier with out him around! He is very jealous and possesive and has gotton violent on occasion. Our cultures are very different and he wants me to comprimise 100%. I really don't want to call him but I know thats better than an email and I don't want to ruin the rest of his extended visit!

You need to let him know, you owe him that much. Send him a telegram saying that you moved out of your place and that you are leaving him. It shouldn't come as a surprise to him since you have asked him for the last year to leave. Let him know, that you are afraid of him, because he is violent and that's the reason he is getting a telegram rather than a phonecall. Wish him good luck and let him know, that your lawyer will contact him with the divorce material.
