If you mean that your friend has created a new ID and you want to find out what it is, there is no way that you can do that by knowing the old one. There is no cross-reference of IDs (Yahoo will know, but they won't tell you because that information is personal.)

If your friend doesn't tell you his/her new ID, then perhaps they don't wish to be friends any longer.

I'm trying to understand what you want. If your yahoo ID is old and you haven't checked it, try to sign in and reactivate it....but maybe that didn't happen because , well, you're here.
If you want a new yahoo ID, just open a new account. simple.

you cant have someones old id.Yahoo doesn't let you...whats wrong with your own? Or make you a new one that is similar..
