For the 'average' female who has a 28 day cycle (from beginning of period to beginning of period) the highest fertility days (on average) are somewhere around day 14 (after period began). But no one is THAT predictable. You NEVER know what the human body will do. So, if you're worried about her getting pregnant you shouldn't remove that condom until after you're finished and she should stay on the pill. Even with those precautions there is still a chance it could happen.
Are you prepared to be a Daddy? If not, then you shouldn't be messing around without a condom.

Everyone's cycle is different. There is a myth that woman ovulate 14 days after their period begins...but that is only an AVERAGE and each month can be different. The other thing is that sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days.... so if you are having a shortened cycle one month and you have sex right after your period and you ovulate earlier than day 14 than yes, there is a chance of getting pregnant. They only way to know is to know exactly when you ovulate. There are several ways to know and some are more effective than others. Some can only predict before ovulation happens and some can only predict that is has already happened. The absolute best info I can give you is to go read a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive – or not! . It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths! Even if you don't get into charting and everything....it will help you in so many ways!

Day 1 of her cycle (assuming it's a normal 28-day cycle) is when she starts her period, and day 14 is when she ovulates. She's most fertile from day 14 through day 18; after that, it's still possible to get pregnant but the egg has travelled far enough that it won't lodge propertly in the uterus if it were fertilized. That having been said, if she's on birth control and has been for a while and has been using it properly and hasn't been missing doses, etc., she isn't ovulating anyway (unless she's uber-fertile) because birth control tricks the body into thinking it has released an egg, when it hasn't. So there's not an egg there to be fertilized anyway. So, relax, enjoy yourself, and don't worry about it.

Every woman is different, but if she has a normal 28 day cycle. Then her most fertile time would be on her cycle day 14. Which is 14 days from the first day of her period. Cycle day 14 is usually when women with a 28 day cycle ovulate. So sex 2 days before that day is good. Then on that day and then 2 days after. Every other day is the best way.

A women is most fertile 14 days after the first day of her period. They say, I read in a Redbook magazine, that if you avoid sex 8 to 19 days after the first day of your period you have a much less chance of becoming pregnant. So avoid those days and make up for it on the other days.
Also I've been on birth control for a long time and me and my husband have sex without a condom all the time and I only got pregnant when I went off the pill.

There are only 3 days a month a women can get pregnant and depending on what time of the month they start their cycle, they are most fertile during the 3 days before their period or 3 days after. I used to work in Labor and Delivery department at my hospital and that's how we determined the due dates for those who had no ideal when they were due.

The average woman is fertile for only 6 days out of her 28-day cycle. An egg can live only one day after it is released, while the longest sperm can live in the vagina is five days. A woman's cycle is dated from the first day of menstruation. An interesting study in this month's British Medical Journal shows that only about 30 percent of women release their eggs to make them fertile from day 10 to 17. Even in women with regular repeatable menstrual cycles, most women reach their fertile days earlier and many much later. Because of this extreme variability in egg release, most women need more than the rhythm method to prevent pregnancy.

A woman is most fertile about 2 weeks after her last period. You can also tell by the discharge. (sounds gross or silly to some men but hey, it's life) The time she is most fertile it will be the most wet because it is the natural lubrication and can be snot like or thick. This window has a time period of about 2-4 days.

While you obviously know based upon the many responses to your question what the TEXTBOOK answer is, take it from me, Ms. Irregular Cycle/Forgetful Francis, not only there is no rulebook for the human body, there is no pill that is 100% effective, nor is there a woman on the planet who can honestly say they have NEVER missed a day at least once. Unless you would like to have/are ready for children, I truly hope you can refrain from taking those kinds of chances. If not for you, for the child that never had a choice. Regret sucks.....
PS-I'm not talking about my decision to have children...I love my kids! I've just seen too many broken lives from broken condoms and too many forgotten children born from forgotten pills.
