no other sport has so many forms. cricket is already played in many forms like test match, one day , 3 day, 4 day. 20-20 will only become more complicated.
soccer is a highest viewed sport in d world. it is played only in one form. still spirits hav not gone down abt this sport. i think there is no need of 20-20.
u asked will 20-20 change the spirit of cricket. the answer is yes.
every change in cricket change d spirit. b it a 1 bouncer rule, 12 player rule or 20 overs restriction rule (power play).

no, i think 20-20 cricket is only fun once in a while but not to be played reguraly lie odis and tests because 20-20 matches dont allow some great things like partnerships to take place in the games.

Yes, they have alot of different variants on the game and its distracting. It's good on an entertainment basis, but not on the international level, more for charity and exhibition that anything else. Combine it with say a few celebrities then you have what it was intended for entertainment.

I think 20/20 is a passing fad, and will slowly dissappear. If you look at the matches, most of them are very one sided. I think one day matches provide plenty of big hitting and crowd entertainment.

it may speed it up a little and may mean more balls getting sent into orbit but overall i think its effect will be minimal, the real 'spirit' you're talking about is in gruelling 3 day knocks and hat tricks and world cup runs...
