Depends on your tastes. Resident Evil 4 is one of the best games I have played in a very long time, on any platform--definitely worth checking out. Eternal Darkness is also a good one to play alone with the lights out--the sanity effects will have your skin crawling.
Super Smash Bros Melee and Mario Kart: Double Dash are both tons of fun with plenty to keep you playing them for a long time. The Metroid Prime series is also a departure from the originals but a good time too.
