Punks are angry at their society and are more into reds and pinks with clothes. They've been around forever mostly in Great Britain. They have some really good music when you're in the mood for it.
Goths are depressed because mommy and daddy don't love them so they try to look like they're dead. Also - they talk about dying and suicide alot to get attention, but they're just a bunch of losers. Their music sucks.

Goth is not a fashion statement, it is a way of seeing the world. There are many types of Goths, ranging from the mopey, velvety kind to the extreme metal head types. In essense, goths take something that most of society sees as evil or detestible, and bringing out the beauty of it. Take a dead rose. You may think it is ugly, but the average goth will see it as beautiful because it was once a pretty rose, so alive, and now it has passed on. I can't really explain it so that you will understand, Voltaire does a much better job at it than I. However, punks and goths are not similar. They only LOOK similar. Hope this helps.

gothic and punk music are sooo different. goth is more 'medieval', melancholic, dark an mysterious and punk is based on late '70s bands like sex pistols, the clash, etc.. it a very modern sound.. alternative, ska, etc are derived from it. so goth and punk people as you call them are very different...no matter the black eyeliner.. there s much more to it

they're both just labels.. hahaha
usually 'goths' are more 'depressed' and listen to nu metal
'punks' are more 'angry' or 'anti-establishment' and listen to punk and hardcore.. I referance those and not post hardcore or pop punk.

They're just labels and people arn't soup cans.

Oh and I've never seen a real 'punk' that thinks pink or lime green is 'punk' it's just a color, thats more of a 'scene' thing that many people misconstrue as punk.
