you were standing in line at the grocery store and the person in front of you suddenly turns around and says, "Hey, can you hand me a bag of Goobers from the candy shelf right there?" and there's this huge glob of snot hanging out of their nose?

LMAO This is probably mean, but I would just about die laughing!! I would still hand them a bag of Goobers and then say, "Here you go, but I think you got enough goobers hanging from your nose!" I think there would be tears streaming down my face from laughing so hard... I probably wouldn't be able to make it through the check out line. You know how you laugh so hard it pretty much immobilizes you and the only thing you can do it just sit there an laugh? yeah... that would be me..... =D

Now that I have been taught etiquette by several members of YA, I would smile slightly and ask them it they would also like a Chunky Bar? (Do they even make Chunky Bars any more, though?).

Then...I would offer them my hankie and say, "Pardon me, my fine fellow, but you seem to have a really huge frikkin ball of snot about to hit the deck. Please feel free to use my wonderful hankie!"

Except...I usually NEVER have a hankie...only when I am in a suit. That happens about every two years. So, instead I would tear the sleeve off my tie-dye tee-shirt and say "This is for that nose drool, dude."

if i'm in a good mood that day: i'd avert my eyes, hand the bag, then quietly tell the person to fix the mess in their nose (if they want to, of course). that's it. if really uncomfortable, i'd change the line and go stand somewhere else.

if i'm in a bad mood: i'd make a disgusted face and tell the person 'awwww what you have in your nose is so nasty' and then leave the line or the store immediately.

Politely tell them, "You've got all the Goobers you can handle at the moment."

I'd hand him the candy, and then point to my nose, assuming the he will get the signal but if he doesn't. Then I'll have no choice but to put him on blast.

I would hand them the candy ,then go to another check out lane......I hate dirty things like that.Like little kids with snotty noses and dirty faces and the parents don't clean them up.

My initial reaction would be that it is disgusting. But my second thought would be that they could just not realize it and I would have to actually say something...politely of course.
