I like to keep things neat and tidy down town. Am I going to be thought of as strange when I go into the office for an exam or when I deliver? I just don't like the "natural" look.

I,like you, keep things nice and neat. I've had three kids. First, you doctor has seen everything, and probably won't even notice. The only thing that has ever been said to me was by my first OB. He said I needed to be careful about ingrown hair...that's it.

I am the same way, I was embarrassed the first time I had a baby, as I was only not quite 18, the nurse said something I will NEVER forget....She said "Honey, they are all the same, and they all look different, some have a wrinkle down here, or a flap over there" I was mortified, yet when it comes to your baby, who cares..Besides, the Dr is not looking to see if you are a good groomer, he/she is looking at your cervix..My Dr has pictures on the ceiling of her office to keep your mind off what she is doing..

Under those circumstances, may I ask, how on earth did you manage to get pg?

Exams are one thing, but when that baby is crowning, let me tell you, you won't care if an entire city is staring down town!

I'm sure docs, nurses and midwives have seen all sorts of your shy type.

Whatever yours looks like I'm sure it's not the strangest the doctor has ever seen.

Besides by the 7-8 month you won't be able to see much less reach down there and by that point you may not even care.

During both my pregnancies I kept things neat and trim buy using a personal trimmer I found at target. I looks like the mini clippers men use when they cut their hair. It even adjustable, so I could set it to cut the hair to the right length so you dint have to be able to to the area well to use it and you can't cut yourself.
i loved it. I still use it now.
I liked to look neat for the Dr. but mostly for myself and my hubby, why let yourself go if you dint have to.

Oh my goodness, I work in the abdominal/surgical unit, there are some reaaally nasty things out there- I'd almost appreciate another fellow woman who cares about her hygeine-for our sake.
You'll be fine! I'll be the exact same way when I'm pregnant, and when I can't reach it anymore I'll be having my hubby do it for me!

No your not. And if they do think strange things then I doubt they would even say anything. But I'm sure they have seen tons of women that trim up or shave even

I am sure the ob/gyn has seen everything! I don't think they are shocked by much - tidy downtown - is nothing compared to what they have seen.

They will just think that you are "neat and tidy" , so what is wrong with that? Its better than a jungle!
