1st thing is do you have a notebook or desktop, If you have a Notebook and the wireless adapter is a built in then I would get a external one that should gain some strengh same deal with the desktop if you have an adapter that has and antena on it I would search for one that has wires leading to the antena so that u can position the antena in a area that is less blocked versus in the back of a computer block by a desk.
The other think is to buy a more powerfull access point built for small business and outside use.
1 thing you don't want to do is wire 300ft of cat5 cable, you will have connections problems cat5 cable is rated for max length around 100m or 328ft, special if there is noise like in a manufacturing zone, and if you do go wired then you should consider repeaters so that the signal does not get weak an cause you some connection problems

First, i would move any water-filled thing, like plants (or humans!!!) out of the way. Try moving the computer around in different positions, because that often helps. If all fails, try buying a signal amplifier for the router. But those things are really expensive.....
Good Luck anyways!!!

The best option is to install an external antenna on your equipment. If the router is serving multiple computers in different directions, you need to use an omni directional antenna. You can use a directional antenna on the pc adapters or on the router if all the pc's are located in the same direction from the router.

Move it closer to the router. 300 ft is like you living next door to someone and you want to pick up their signal.

The cheapest is to move closer. Otherwise there are signal boosters that you can but that hook up at the router or in the line.

Well there is a solution for ur case:most modern wireless cards/ruters have DETACHABLE antenas......so all you need to do is to to change both wir. card/ruter antenas with other antenas with more coverage . Also is a good point to buy some card/router with the new MIMO Technology (this mean 800% more COVERAGE).If you wanna know more.....
Feel free to contact me on yahoo messenger for more details.

cheapest way? move it closer.
a little more expensive, but worthy way is to buy a wireless range expander.
just search on newegg.com for it. Keep in mind that it has to be made by the same company that makes your router, as they tend to be vendor specific.

1. you could drill a hole in the wall/ceiling and pull an enormous ethernet wire all the way to your computer (signal would be best).
2. you could buy a stronger receiver.

ask your provider to give you a seperate line for your router!
it will then inturn be more powerful with it's own line! when they line is split the rest goes well not to your pc!
and try moving it closer!
