i have an Administrator account when i installed xp in the system..
then i created an account and made as administrator...
now i need to delete this account..but it tells to logon in another administrator account and delete but i cannot delete the account by logging on to "Administrator " name....and when i start my computer it should automatically go to desktop instead of going to welcome screen or log on dialog mox.

Hi go to start control panel...then click on users .. and it gives u all the user names in there... maybe then u can go and delete it...If ur the administrator u should be able to delete any users name...hope this works ..bye 4now

you can't delete the original Administrator account that is setup on WindowsXP. At best, you can disable it.
If it is a user account you want to delete, make sure you're logged in as a different user that has sufficient rights to delete accounts. Then goto the Control Panel - Users and delete the account you wish to remove.
If you want your computer to go straight to your desktop when starting it, download TweakUI (from Microsoft). There's an option in it that will allow you to do so.
