I would suggest that you send a letter or e-mail to the head office of Argos and state that you want a response within seven days.

I did this to Vax (you know the carpet cleaner place) and got an even better result than I was looking for!

Also, if you are getting nowhere with them then i would suggest stating in your letter or e-mail that you are sending a copy of the same to the BBC Watchdog and the national newspaper.

I know it's only a threat but it gives them a good kick up the bum to get your matter resolved.

Best of luck - stay firm headed.x.

you write to both the branch manager at the branch you have had a problem in and at also a letter to the head office of Argos.
you may also like to go to www.Argos.co.uk and find the contact us links and see if you can submit an email complaint.

if you have no joy with argos direct and it relates to a product or service not up to as advertised you can take your complaint to your local trading standards department.

good luck
and what has this got to do with government?

Argos might be a big company but it isn't exactly governing the country yet. However, you might try sending your complaint to Tony Blair, he'll probably be able to come up with a good answer.

My Uncle bought a Panasonic Microwave from Argos ( online ) which died within a week. I tried to phone them, it was hopeless to get through, so I e mailed them. Within 4 hours I got a very nice reply, They arranged to pick the faulty one up that friday, and bring a replacement the following monday ( which they did ) I could not fault their service, or maybe I was lucky?
