A processor is just that, it processes the commands and codes to the other parts of the system. This is in the form of a squared chip, usually somewhere near the center top of the motherboard.
The RAM is Random Access Memory, which means it randomly will remember each command you give the processor to process. These look like flat sticks with black chips soldered on them and go in slots near the processor, usually up and down.
A processor will speed up your system a bit, but if the memory gets full often then it will cause it to slow down, hang and such because the processor depends on RAM to remember what instruction sets are being carried out. This is why there is a virtual memory or swap file space which uses some of the room on the hard drive to temporary place information it needs to run any given program that has numerous instruction sets that are being carried out back and forth "Swap", such as many browser pages, games, photo editors...
Most people are trying to figure out how to speed up or gain storage space when asking this type of question is the reason I tried to elaborate. I just hope it is understood correctly. I sometimes put things a little strangely.

RAM-stands for Random Access Memory,
is a chip that is called the main memory of the computer when it is on , it is a volatile memory, the operating system is loaded in it all the application programme which we run on the system is first loaded on to the RAM first then it is processed.
Processor is the heart of our computer, without a processor no calculation could be done. a processor contains a ALU i.e the arithmetic and logical unit which is responsible for all the calculations.

RAM (random access memory) - Generally, RAM in a computer is considered main memory (or primary storage): the working area used for displaying and manipulating data.
A central processing unit (CPU), or sometimes simply processor, is the component in a digital computer that interprets instructions and processes data contained in computer programs.
Hope that helps - RAM is the memory used on active/open windows and the processor is what actually opens and runs the programs (the faster your processor, the faster programs open, etc)

RAM is Random Access Memory used to process data at the screen level bring files in and out for the Processor. which is actually CPU Central Processing Unit this contains your hard drive for all data and information storage, your motherboard which is programmed to tell your computer what to do. Fans, power source and dvd/CD writer/player.

Ram stands for random access memory where binary data comes, when you want it to do something with it, job over & address space goes off. Nothing is permanent there. It actomatially flush everthing at the time of stutdown.
Processor is the brain of computer with do the actual computation with the data stored at the address space and gives the result of processing.
Both are chip.

RAM and Processor are part of computer motherboard.
Basically; RAM is used for storing ur information in computer like ur book; where u write and store ur data. u will increase ur computer memory also.
The Processor is normally refered to brain of computer, like ur brain give u instruction similarly Processor give instruction to all device. and basically it also stored information but it store only those info that manufacture store at the time of manufacturing.

Ram is memory, where stuff is stored when your computer is on. It stands for Random Access Memory.
Processor is where stuff in ram is pulled to actually be used to do something (add/subtract/make a decision...).
