Most people who would like to be a professional figure skater, singer, actress, or model don't succeed. There is too much competition. If you have extraordinary talent, you might have a chance, but it is not a career you can really plan on.

Being a writer is a career you can plan on, but then you have to find someone who will pay you for your writing. So it is a bit hard to break into the field.

Being a journalist is something that is a realistic career, something you can prepare for and study for when you get to college.

However, keep in mind that your interests are almost certain to change as you get older. Most people's interests do change.

Whatever you choose, it is always wise to have a background in business so that you can run whatever you choose to do as your own business and always keep on top of what other people are doing for you, such as accountants and business advisors. If you have some of this knowledge yourself you will be better able to keep control of your finances, no matter what discipline you decide to major in.
