According to Indian tradition you use your left as your right one is only for eating whether you are right handed or left handed.
I was using my right, being right handed, till I found out and since then I have been using equally easily my left.

Ok usually I wouldnt answer a question like yours but I will
I'm the only left handed person in my whole family both parents are tpyicallliy right handed , and Im left handed.
However I can cut a paper with my right hand , but washing down there I cant its got to be my left , as I am left handed,
To make things more different in my, religion , you have to eat with the right hand becasuse left hand is used to washing below, but it aint my fault I cant , so im forgiven ,even though I have tried with my right I just cant .
So the stronger side of your hand works with washing below,
so since Im left , I use that hand .
and works the same with a person whos right is well
Since reading other answer I am the only left hand person yikes

In the mornings (before coffee and a cigarette), I'll use my left hand. During the day, I'll use my right hand. And, no, I don't use both at the same time. LOL
I'm actually right-handed for writing, but tend to use my left hand for doing other things (like using knives to chop vegetables). I guess I'm "ambidextoiletous".

It depends on which side the toilet paper is on.
In my house it is on the right side, but a lot of public toilets put the toilet roll on the left.
I am right handed though.
I suppose I am ambidextrous when it comes to wiping..... there you go, I just learnt something about myself :-)
