Cops are idiots. Most of them have a hard time reading their manual.

Your rates are going to go up. I can't be certain how much. Because he's only 22, they might go up more than if he was 25 or 30. If it goes up too much, shop around for better prices.

Going 60mph in a 45mph zone is definately worth the ticket and the fine. He could have been hurt, hurt someone else or caused an accident. I don't understand what he would want to question the cop about. His insurance will most like go up and pretty high at that but that's the consequences we pay for speeding.

You are correct! Most cops are idiots, not because they try to enforce the law but because many lack education and behave like modern day cowboys looking for "indians". Now to answer your question, most states offer a short class that upon completion will prevent the insurance company from increasing your rates. Otherwise at your boyfriends age he can expect an substantial increase. Shop around, you may find a company that will give him a better rate when its time to renew.

Not from one speeding ticket, assuming he has no other points on the license. The judge screwed up though. You might want to consult a lawyer on that. You absolutaly have a right to question the witness. You have a case for an appeal. The question is whether it is worth the time or money, and it will require a lawyer.

extremely creative probable will improve the suitable type. creative has many fee factors in assessment to different insurers. What which means is at the same time as his price ought to go up, it ought to not go up as a lot as different insurers who will lump him in with the speeders. creative is a lot more effective likely to seem at different aspects, yet I doubt it ought to do not have any impact....it basically received't have as huge an impact. in words of your court case, the choose stated what he did because it did not remember what your husband requested. Your husband became speeding....end of tale. The choose became attempting to keep time and unnecessary expenses. In virtually maximum of those circumstances it is going to grow to be your husband's note hostile to the cop's note. Who do you imagine they're going to believe? Your wonderful wonderful should be to make certain if the court lets you plead a "continuance for dismissal." it is largely a way of exclaiming you're sorry and also you received't do it back. you may a higher fee regularly $2 hundred or more effective. yet in case you have not any more effective violations interior 12 months of the fee ticket, they then brush off the initial charge. sure you had to pay a lot more effective of a superb, yet a minimum of the case became pushed aside and a fee ticket did not go on your record.

It will probably bump up a bit at renewal but I don't think it will skyrocket.

Be careful about who you call an idiot though. It was your husband breaking the law. All he had to do was obey the speed limit. It's not rocket science on how NOT to get pulled over.

I wouldn't say super high, but it will probably go up. Look around for insurance, though. Progressive isn't the best company out there.

I use progressive myself. it won't go super high, especially if this is his first set of points, but it may shoot up a few extra bucks a month.

Hire a lawyer. In most states it is possible for a lawyer to fix the points for a fee.

Since you are both relatively young, and have those types of cars, chances are it's already high. Getting two points on your liscense will make it higher. Call your insurance company. You have to report it to them.
