want to put music on a cd but when put in blank disc says not detect devise does that mean i have faulty drive

if it dosen't show in my pc
go to device manager if not there
try add new hardware wizard
open the box check wired properly
if still not found
need new one

The CD could be scratched or yes you could have a faulty drive. Have you tried cleaning the disc or the drive itself with a cleaning CD?

This happened to me. So we phoned the computer people and they changed it for us saying that the disc drive wasn't working good but for games it was.
