Saddam was and still is the only man who knew how to run Iraq and we in the West were fed anti-Saddam propaganda. The West took out the regime to reduce the threat to Israel as Iraq then had the fourth biggest army in the world. Oil was a bonus. But the thousands who have been killed and the millions who have been robbed, whose water, electricity, phones and education systems no longer work and who face death from both insurgents and the occupying armies every day deserve the general peace they had before the invasion. As the first answer says, bring him back and he will sort out the mess. As another says, he was only doing what the rest of the world's politicians do to keep a general peace for the majority. The UK and USA's leaders have killed and maimed more people in their wars than Saddam's regime ever did. He was put in charge of Iraq by the Americans, he is innocent by comparison with them and deserves to live the rest of his life in peace.

The death penalty is extremely an oxymoron. interior the top of the day you have succeeded in no longer the rest than taking the life of a guy or woman- and you not often desire a courtproceeding for that. you haven't any longer punished the guy- studying your errors is best in any punishment and that cleary isn't happening if the guy that's assume to alter is lifeless! additionally, the courtroom in Iraq has no authority attempting Saddam on "crimes against humanity". inspite of the undeniable fact that, because neither US or Iraq even understand the Haag international courtroom, i assume they are able to do despite the fact that they like.

I'd cut his dick off, give him a full sex change, marry him to some dirty ignorant Iraqi villager as a fifth wife and make him live out the rest of his days being spat on beaten and mistreated as a Muslim woman.
He wouldn't last 5 seconds.

If I were to sentence Saddam in court...I would give him life imprisonment because if I give him the death penalty then he will not pay on his wrong doings....so better let him live and feel how to die slowly with his sickness.

Saddam has done unspeakable things and I am sure he deserves Death, I personally don't believe in the dealth penalty, so give him life in prision and let the prisioners take care of him. He then can have Hell on Earth!

Since it is an Iraqi court I believe it is best for the jury of his peers not mine to make that decision. I'm certain whatever they will come up with would be better than my decision. However IF it were up to me I would hang him in the middle of the stadium. with his tip toes touching the ground.

Life imprisonment. Death is an easy way out. When Iraq settles down he should be sent there for his punishment.

I would definantly give him death. But, I would put him a a room with family of some of his victims. I would then give them all very sharp pairing knifes and I would let them take turns at pealing peices of skin off him! That is justice.

he'll probably get the death sentence.
But I think life emprisonment in a block full of big black gay guys would be a more suiting punishment. He could change shower buddies every day!
