Every baby is different. But you can compare your baby to average and various percentiles at the Web site in the sources section below. Average for a girl is 4.2-5 kilos. Average for a boy is 4.5-5.4 kilos. These are the newest and most accurate charts ever produced. They are the first ones ever based on a group of babies who are known to have been well-nourished; earlier charts were based on babies with an unknown nutritional status at a time when overfeeding was considered to be a good thing.

All babies are different. At first they lose a few pounds(1 kg) Then should steadily gain and at 6mos should have doubled thier birth weight....but again all babies are different and will depend on thier birth weight and appetite and feeding preferences(breastfed or formula)
heres a website to view"
BTW 1 kg = 2.2 lbs

Maybe a pound or 2 more than it weighed at birth. In kgs that would be 2.2-4.4 more than it did at birth. If my math is correct
Keep in mind that every baby is different.
