I'm in the same situation and I am 36 years old ! My dad although he acknowledges that I'm his first daughter ,He gives my step sister the world just because he was more in love with her Mom than he was with mine!!!! I get real jealous at times and often wonder why? But there's nothing that you can do or say to comfort your sister!!Best thing that can be done is your Dad has to go to her and apologize and tell her he loves her the same.He should then try treating y'all equal!!! If this never happens your sister could end up turning against you in the long run!!!! My step sister is 27 with two kids and i am 36 with five and we don't even speak!!!! Trust me you don't want your lives to turn out like ours so try and get your dad to make amends now before its to late!!!! Best wishes!!!!!

Tell dad that it hurts your sister for him to pay more attention to you. Although having favoritism is how illiterate and dysfunctional families react--it is not a good thing. For instance: something tragic happens to someone (not hoping death or an accident, but just a vivid example to explain it to your father). It is up to you and your sister to take care of the situation. Even if there is an agreement between the two of you, there will also be rivalry and animosity toward your father for what he did/does and you for excepting it. If the two of you were to have children the pattern will tend to repeat itself. You don't want to live like that. My children Go through that with my husband and my families and it hurts them when they could do well they don't because they wouldn't get the praise for it. My husband and I do not tolerate this behavior. We let our children know that you are special EVERYDAY. Let your dad know that he's being ignorant and inform your sister that she is special in your life and treat her accordingly. Life is too short to be stuck on stupid.

Well tell your dad you like spending time with him but try to get your sister involved in activities that your dad and you do. That way you all can have fun and maybe the jealousy will go down.
