My computer is having problem when i used disk defragmenter. I defragment the C drive. When it reached to 14% complete, a window popup saying that some files can't be defrag. I dont know what to do.So, I tried the Help & Support Center for some info but it didnt help I also tried the help option too, but it didn't help either. My computer is Compaq and OS is Windows XP Home Edition. So can anyone help me with this problem?

I tried a couple times and also restart the computer and it didnt solve anything at all. My computer has more than 15% free space. I tried system restore and it didnt help either.

format your pc and reload windows
that should take care of all your problems

If some files can't be defragmented, leave them alone. There shouldn't be a problem. Defragment the rest of the drive, if you want to. As long as the computer works fine, I can't see what the problem is...

hello friend... theres nothing to worry here. u have not mentioned the defragmenter ur using 4 ur system. i guess u r using the XP inbuilt defragmentor. for this, ur hard disk or the drive u want to defrag should have atleast 13% free space. this too is not a problem. just go to this link and download this defragmentor. u wont get such errors bcoz its the best......

If your hard drive has less than 15% free space, defrag might not run properly.

you should try to make diskeeper run a boot time defragmentation.
read the help files for diskeeper for instruction on how to do this. The steps to take are different between different versions of diskeeper, and I have no way of knowing what version you have.

Also, you can run a chkdsk.

insted of doing defag why not use macfee quick clean. it helps to delete unwanted stuffs and compress the program files.. try it

if you view report it will tell what the files are and ware they are
so most of them you can find and deal with

YOU CAN TRY REMOVING COOKIE FILES, AND FILES AND PROGRAMS YOU DON'T USE.
