I say there was "POTC"regular,"POTC Curse of the Black Pearl" and then "POTC Dead Man's Chest". She says "POTC Curse of the Black Pearl"and "POTC Dead Man's Chest". Who is right and who is wrong? Please respond ASAP! Thanks!

There have been 2 so far: the first was Curse of the Black Pearl, the second is Dead Man's Chest. The third hasn't been named yet, and will be out next year.
BTW: The whole franchise is based on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland

Just to clarify, the titles for the Pirates Movies go as such:
1) POTC: Curse of the Black Pearl
2) POTC: Dead Mans Chest
and finally
3) POTC: Edge of the World
It looked like everyone knew there was three made (or being made), but were unsure of the title, hope that helps out. By the way if you watch after the credits in Deadmans Chest, there is an additional clip from the movie, enjoy.

There are two so far. The first was "POTC: Curse of the Black Pearl" and most people just called it POTC. Since it did so well, they then released "POTC: Dead Man's Chest: and next year will release "POTC: World's End" and that should be it.
The whole thing is kind of like Star Wars in that every movie was titled Star Wars and than had an episode title.

There are 3 which form a trilogy.
1. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
2. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
3. Pirates of the Caribbean 3
The third movie is still in production, due for release May 25, 2007

Right now there are only two that have been released, but a third movie has been made, or is in the process of being made.
There is a total of 3 movies ((There was never a "regular" POTC movie))

There will be three. The curse of the blackpearl #1, Dead Man's Chest #2. The last one is scheduled for release next summer.

There is 3 the first one was like realesed in like the 1950s but wasnt popular so they caned it, until 2003 when they made cures of the black peal then this year it was dead mans chest , next year there is at worlds end and johnny depp revealed that there is a chance of a 4th being realesed

3 but the 3rd one is not yet out it should be on may 2007 its called " at the world's end" with the same actors and its the finale one until now u can check it out on imdb and write pirates of the Caribbean 3.
