It's been my assunption that guys will not date girls or women with othermen's kids

For the same reason some women don't like men who have kids....
It takes a lot of patience to put up with someone else's sh*t.

You can't make a generalization like that, some guys are willing to accept a woman and here kids. However, some just don't want to be responsible for some other man's kids, it's hard especially if the biological father is in the childs life to cuz then you have to put up with him. Also, if you become attached to the children and things don't work out the kids end up getting hurt too. BTW, there are women out there like this too.

I don't believe we hate women with children. The simple truth of the matter is, our hands are tied when it comes to other peoples children. We can't spoil them, discipline them, or do anything other than what mom's guidelines are..and the kids get away with murder when left alone with us. Kids aren't stupid, they know they win with mom over some guy. Most guys don't want that hassle or responsibility. Personally, I've had 4 kids..I don't want any more, mine nor anyone elses. It's nothing personal on my part it's just that i've done my duty and had my responsibilities as far as kids go. I want a one on one relationship now. That's my reasoning anyway. I hope this helps you understand it a little at least.

I don't think the majority of men feel this way. Let's face it, it seems it's more unusual to come across a women now days that doesn't have children, then one that does! I think some men are more excepting of it then others, but if you're looking to get serious with someone, they have to except your kids as well!

I have never found that to be so. I married a man with no kids of his own and I already had a daughter from a previous marriage. They are close and my daughter says her step-Dad was the man who gave her the male parental attention all kids need. Her 'real' father was not on the scene.

It's a stupid primal responce. We're lucky they don't eat the kids like some animals do. However some men are more evolved than their peers and will be happy to be a father-figure to the children of the woman he loves. But, you won't find him at a bar, probably.

i know this post is almost a decade old but maybe because the man wants to have his on kids. If she already have kids then it's kind of hard to do that.

this is not true for all men,but the ones that do not want to be involved with a woman with children usually means they don't want the responsibility of someone elses children if the relationship becomes serious
