Ever seen the Dave Matthews Band video for "Everyday"? That's what the guy in the video does - goes around hugging people. Some act like 'get away!' & some hug back happily. It's kinda cute. Maybe you need to be that guy?

Yes--I once met a lady with two young sons who had been having problems with her husband. Her house had burned to the ground one day while she was at work, and she and her family lost EVERYTHING. A local church started taking donations for them, and when I met her, I just wanted to hug her b/c of all she'd been through.

Yes and have done so. A trucker changed my flat tire and would not accept any money. I gave him the biggest hug I've given anyone in a long time.

Yes, when I was at the Philly Zoo, this woman was so upset because she couldn't find her daughter, I just wanted to Hug her and tell her it was OK. And yes the little girl was found OK. :)

Yeah but then they would slap me in the face or worse call the Police. I think there's a law against that, and its invasion of someone's personal space. But that's just my opinion.

uhhh no... maybe say a kind word and stuff, but to hug some stranger, never. unless you're talking about kids . then yes, it happens to me, very often.

Nah I'm not really a huggie kissy sort of person...I've probably wanted to say something to them but I'm such a shy social reject I didn't.
