What would you do in my position?

Question

Ok well i've been in a relationship for 5months.
I went to France for 10 days met a girl there my own age that is like an exact double of me. In EVERY way, people even say she looks like me.
I got on REALLY well with her and she got on really well with me ofcourse.
I read my horoscope for that week and it told me that I would meet my soul mate who I am destined to be with this week on foreign soil

Her horoscope said she would find her one true love that week and would need to find them to be happy.

And our star signs were said to be the 2 that would attract that week.

Now both me and her believe in horoscopes and I believe that this is more than just coincidence. But when I got home I explained the situation to my girlfriend and we agreed to go on some time apart while I try and figure out what to do.

I'm just wondering what you would do?

I was thinking to spend some time with this other girl and see what would be best in the long run?

Ideas?

May i forgot to mention that this other girl lives relatively close to me and not in france like many of you presumed. I came to the conclusion myself to try and get to know this other girl before ruining what i could have had. Thanks :) best answer soon to be chosen :)

I do not believe to much in the whole horoscope thing but it sounds like you really hit it off with this girl over seas!

Your mind already has been made up! You asking the question is proof of that. I would go for it, but if what you have now is good be careful to throw it away on some feeling you received from a brief moment!

I think you are buying into a bunch of crap. You actually think that stars that are millions of miles away from us and only make a shape from our planetary area (in other words if you go to far out of our little solar system, they don't make those shapes anymore) have an affect on your life? You do know one newspaper's horoscope can differ dramatically from another newspaper, right? Here are some facts about astrology.

Astrology is the belief that the positions of the stars and planets will predict and control our personalities and actions. Unfortunately, a distressing number of people believe this and the daily horoscope can be found in nearly every major newspaper in the country. However, astrology fails even the most simple of test.

This is possibly the worst offender of all the pseudosciences because it does more damage in encouraging people to believe there is an easy solution to life’s problems than any other pseudoscience. More people believe in astrology than any other myth. Yes, myth. It is very easy to prove there is nothing to astrology, and is frequently done so in grade school science fairs. Simply get a group of people to compare their day to day lives to their horoscope and keep a track of how valid the predictions are. Make an estimate ahead of time of what you expect to see for an accuracy rate. Do this for a few weeks. When you collect all of the records and compile the data, compare the actual accuracy rate to your predicted one.

If that’s not enough, simply do the math. According to astrology, my horoscope should predict many things about me and my life. But approximately 1/12th of the population has the same sign, and therefore the same horoscope, as I. So, if astrology is correct, 1/12th of the population should be very similar to me. This same argument applies to anyone. Ask yourself, are one in twelve people you meet similar to you? This is obviously false. You’ll meet some people similar to you, but not one in twelve.

An interesting note about astrology is that it is in the wrong sign. The basis for astrology is the constellations from 3000 years ago. However, the Earth's axis is slowly rotating in the sky, a process called precession. This precessiong causes the constellations to rotate through the sky once every 36,000 years. This means that in the 3000 years since the constellations were defined they have shifted forwards about 1/12 of the way around. This makes the astrologers off by almost one full sign. So, if you think you're a Virgo, you're really a Leo; if you thing you're a Taurus, you're really an Aries; and if you think your a Scorpius, you're really a Libra. And, in fact, the Sun will spend only a few days in the constellation Sagittarius before moving into a constellation that isn't even in the zodiac. This error would have tremendous importance if astrology had any validity.

Astronomy is a science and follows the scientific method. Astrology is a superstition and is no more accurate that saying a black cat crossing your path will bring bad luck.

Hi depends on your age. If you are young enjoy yourself ,dont hide it from your girlfriend because you still keep as mates. Forget about the stares and horoscope means nothing.
Dont get tied down.

You should spend some time alone (all by yourself) for awhile. Right now your all wrapped up in this new feeling for this other girl. Keep in touch with both of them. You will know in your heart which one you can not live without. You just need to give yourself a little time apart to tell. You don't want to make a decision that you will regret in the future. If it be to stay with the girl you were already with, or to be with this new love you have found.

Advise, knowing a person for just 10 days and thinking she might be your soulmate is dangerous, Worst still if you let horoscope run your life.
I would say to get to know this girl better, but its not fair to your current gf. Its either you break up with her now, since she is definately not your soulmate as you are on the lookout for another, and take your time to find the real lady of your life.

It sounds like you already know what you want. Whats the worse thing that could happen from going to spend some times getting to know this women? nothing right. so do it. Your ex girlfriend is not even in the pic to much any more. Follow your heart and take chances on life. I believe fate only takes us so far, and we have to take the ranees from there. hmmm this is a tough one. i beleive in horoscopes also. and it's not really fair to your present girlfriend to be into another girl. it is a crazy coincidence that you met this other girl, and maybe you should see what happens with her. remember....just because someone is exactly like you it doesnt mean that youll get along forever. it can get very annoying being around yourself all day long! if it doesnt work out don't expect your ex to take you back in an instant! :D

Unless you move to France or she moves close to you, then hang it up. Go ahead and spend a little time with her before you make any decisions. Most things are not as they seem on the surface. In the meantime, don't be mad if your girl finds someone else.

Write yourself as list for the two people of why you should be with them. At the end, see which list is longer.

What I would do is not forget my long term goals and in particular my long term desires in a relationship,,,,

don't forget you current girlfriend. Letting me do as I want... ... How can I get better than that.? my new girlfriend. hmm.... what does she think of my current relationship.?

astrology may not be the answer! my own personal feeling may be. When enough time has passed to know my past girlfriend and my new girlfriend the same... ...I may know... My personal experience, someone that let's me decide is better than some who want to decide for me!

Personally, I like your girlfriend that backed away and let you decide... ...what does you new girlfriend want?
