first off, there are well above 1 or 2 Pentium Processors
heck, they have pentium 1,2,3,4, D,C,M, etc.
but they can really vary, in performance too.
from 150MHz to a dual core 3.8ghz
but if you overclock, there is a Pentium D 805 dual core 2.66ghz that can reach 4.1ghz

It depends on what processor you got...Pentiums go from 60mhz to 3500 mhz and beyond.

If you mean the CPU speed, it could be anything, and the speeds are currently in the gigaherz range. To check the speed on your system, in XP home edition click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, System, General.
