I have tried soapy water, nail varnish remover and vinegar (that was my moms suggestion!) It still hasnt budged though.

bit ov vodka on a cotton wool ball. dont scrub 2 hard tho!

As I used to be a cleaner, use washing up liquid undiluted. Rub in with nailbrush and then dry with cloth.

you can get specialist removers from department stores and supermarkets -- they have a variety of stain removers -- just get the one for removing biro-- they are called "stain devils"
